With yarns that are mainly sourced from the textile industry, in colours ranging from muted to exuberant, Lysbeth Leistra weaves her cloths in a traditional and artistic way on her looms, up to a maximum gross width of 180 cm. After weaving the cloth, it is applied to the poplar plywood board with a glue roll that was specially made for this purpose.
This is followed by an intermediate phase: after curing, UV-resistant water-based resin and lacquer are applied to the woven-wood boards to ensure the sustainability. After the resin and lacquer have cured, we cut the boards to size, make sure they are splinter-free, and fit them onto the table frames, construct cabinets out of them or apply them to a wall. In the subsequent finishing phase, one or more top coatings will be applied to the products, depending on function and need.
By applying epoxy resin or PU resin to the cloth, we can create exceptionally clear cast floors.
